Herbarium Mounting Papers
(Now comes in extra thick 28 pt)
Our mounting paper is made from 100% cotton/rag. The grain direction is parallel to the long dimension for ease of handling after specimens have been mounted. The paper is, acid-free and lignin-free with a pH of 7.0-8.0. Available in buffered and unbuffered. Comes in either 12, 15, or 28-point thickness. Custom imprinting is available. The majority of herbaria use a uniform method for arranging their specimens within herbarium cases. Specimen sheets are grouped together based on their respective species and then carefully inserted into species folders, each labeled. Our Species Folders are 6 PT made from acid and lignin free buffered, natural white /pale cream, 80# text. Ensuring the preservation of your valuable specimens. The archival Species Folder is folded from size: 23 1/8″ x 16 1/2″
to: 16 1/2″ x 11 9/16”.
